You prop the book your class is reading open in front of your face, just in case you fall asleep.
Your eyes close momentarily a time or two, but you manage not to snore. Finally the class ends.
As you step out into the hall, you see the school bully Cory backing Amy into a corner. He takes a set of brass knuckles ot of his pocket and puts it on. "Give me the answers our I'll break your face!" he growls. You see the principal round a corner and suddenly see what's happening. He starts heading that way, but there's no way he can make it in time to stop Cory from punching Amy. If you sprint over, you might be in time to intercept Cory's punch.
