Go south to Jordan

Although you're familiar with Lebanon, it's been many years since you've been there. If Alia's a smuggler, she'd know the best routes to get out of the country.
"Okay," you say. "We'll go to Jordan. Lead the way."
You and Alia travel by bus south from Damascus. At a small village, Alia taps you on the shoulder and the two of you get off.
"We're close to the border now," she says. "Around there is where the police and soldiers start inspecting everything and everyone on the bus with a fine-toothed comb. Since we're both wanted by the authorities, we'll walk from here."
The border will surely be guarded, and there will be danger on the way as well. And you're still not sure if Alia is trustworthy. If she really is a police spy like Leila said, she could deliver you straight to the cops. You wonder if you should just catch the next bus to the border. On the other hand, you're not sure if you'd be able to bluff your way past the interrogators on the bus.
