Though not your first choice, humans tend to make some stupid decisions, making them easier to claim. Like one time, your Dad told you the story about how your great grandfather took on and killed one hundred humans by himself. All because they decided to fight him one at a time. The story would always make you laugh as a child, and you chuckle just thinking about it. Though humans aren't all stupid, as they do make some crafty machines to help them with things they normally couldn't do.
The biggest downside to humans, though, is that you'll outlive whoever you find to mate. Meaning that once your mate passes on, you'll have to go out and find another. But, then again, claiming a human mate could be good practice to finding the better fish in the sea. Speaking of sea, humans usually nest near rivers and lakes, and you know of a few not too far from your village.
The first is due west, about eight or ten miles from your village. It's a large lake and might hold several human settlements. You can make it if you run, before you balls fill with too much sperm. The second place is south west, about fifteen miles. This one is a small river and would probably only have one or two human settlements around it. It's a stretch, but if you go full speed, you might just make it before sundown.
You pause to weigh your options. The large lake would have more to choose from, but large groups of humans, even for an orc, are quite dangerous. On the other hand, the river would have fewer humans and fewer humans means fewer risks.
