Give up and head downstairs ready for work

You pull on a shirt and a pair of blue jeans and head downstairs when the smell of burning hits your nose. You race to the kitchen to find your housemate Lily burning toaster waffles for the ninth time this month. The fox grins when she sees you and squeezes you in a big hug. You sit down.
"Sorry I burnt breakfast again," she says, "The stupid toaster hates me."
"Yeah, sure, it's the toaster's fault!"
She laughs. Lily's a history student at your university. She's bi but you're just close friends - apart from that one drunk night with her, of course, but you both pretend that didn't happen.
Lily leans over and puts down a burnt waffle. Looks like she hasn't been up long either; she's wearing tracksuit bottoms and a long t-shirt - and no bra, as you noticed when she leant over.
"Thanks," you say as she takes a seat opposite you.
