“Nervous?” Claire says. “I’m not, but I’ll draw three cards as well if it will make you feel better.”
You look at your new cards. There aren’t any diamonds, but you do draw two more sevens. “I’ve got three of a kind,” you say.
“Lucky,” Claire scoffs. “I’ve only got two pair.” She stands up and unfastens the clasp holding her skirt in place.
