You scoop up your belongings quickly, while both women nervously watch the steel door that leads to the front of the store. You shrug on your backpack, then snap your fingers to get their attention.
"We need to move," you whisper. "Now." You turn and head for the back door, unlocking it as quietly as you can. Opening it slightly, you hear nothing in the alley but the sound of the rain. In the distance, you can still see your flashlight shining.
Neither of the women argue. They follow you without a sound, and you move quickly down the alleyway, pick up your flashlight, and shine it ahead of you. You can go back the way you came and turn off down the side alley, or turnaround completely and keep moving in the direction you were going originally. Either way, you can't stay still for long. Whoever is in the store will eventually come looking for the culprits of all the yelling.
