You shout loudly at the cart-pushers, forgetting that they could probably kill you at any moment. To your surprise, no punishment comes, only conversation and amused chatter. Perhaps this is because you didn't shout any words in particular.
The language used by the cart-pushers is foreign to you, but although you can understand none of the words, you can identify roughly what they mean by their tones. The general reaction towards your little outburst seems to be amusement.
The conversation begun by this goes on for quite some time, but the cart keeps moving. But, eventually, one of the cart-pushers apparently offends another, and the other stops the cart in order to face him and, hopefully, fight.
