The cop drives onto the freeway, but just at regular speed. You easily keep up, and back seven or so cars. It's not hard to see that Interceptor.

After three or four junctions you follow her off into some industrial looking area. It's harder not to be seen, so you stay a block back and follow her right, then right again to a really shady and derelict looking area.

You see her park in front of a rusty warehouse and walk in so casually that it convinces you this place is safe. You park on the corner you were watching from and proceed on foot.
