Galadriel equips the small company with supplies and weapons. They get weeks worth of lembas bread, along with skins full of ent-wash (which has re-invigorating properties for men and hobbits). Galadrial also provides them with elvish cloaks, which can conceal them in almost any environment. They each also receive lightweight elvish armor, almost as effective a mithril plate (and easily concealed by their cloaks). The armor includes special boots made for the hobbits, who are not accustomed to wearing shoes or walking long distances. These boots provide protection while reducing fatigue experienced by the wearer.

Gandalf receives Galadriel's ring, which increases his power and allows him to better hide and protect the group.

Sam receives a lightweight but powerful elven crossbow, with enchanted bolts that knock virtually any foe unconscious.

Legolas receives an elven map that allows him (and only him) to see not only their location, but also the path they should take next.

Aragorn receives a packet of dried and crushed Kingsfoil, and other healing supplies.

Frodo still gets the phial - and still does not realize how powerful it is. Galadrial also gives him a small wooden pipe, and a tin of Longbottom Leaf from the Shire (to remind him of home).

Rather than depart via boats on the river, Galadrial arranges for eagles to bear the small party forward. The eagles are willing to take Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and the two hobbits wherever they wish - but not into Mordor.
