D&D: The noble comes down to meet you

From Create Your Own Story

You wait and cross your leg. Your deathstare has made the guard at the entrance wait outside for the remainder of his shift. The old man returns with a glass of water wich you drink thirstily. After another minute, a man with very handsom clothes and figure walks down the hall into the salon. He must be in his 30ish but he is quite good looking. His eyes betrays his surprise to see a dark-skinned elf waiting in his salon but he remains cool-headed. "Welcome. Please come with me. We will be more at ease to speak in my study." he says. You nods and gets up, following him as he make his way up the 2nd floor and into a large room. The place is majestic and worthy of noblesse. Bookshelves, window that gives great view of the city below. You also notice several stands for robes and clothes of all sort. There are also expansive maps and astrological map made of tin.

He takes place behind his desk and invite you to sit as well. "My name is Elegos Malric. I am glad to have someone answer my plea" he begins.

You nod and sits down, crossing your legs :"Well it was a matter of time. What is it that you need help with ?"

The noble observe you : "It is a trivial matter that has letted me distressed for some times now. I bring in shipement of textile from the south. Expansive clothes, fabrics and matter from exotic lands. These clothes are priceless. And the shipement has never arrived and it is far overdued. I believe the convoy has been attacked."

You laugh a bit. This is classic nobles. A convoy is attacked, people dies but the goods are more important. :"So you want me to find your lost shipement ?" He nods. "What about the people who were bringing it in ?"

"If the shipement was attacked, I doubt any of them are alives. But if you do find them, I will apreciate their return as well."

"Allright. I'm curious though, you are no merchant. Why importing this kind goods ?" You smile a bit. Your pretty sure you know the answer.

"Hrmm." he seems to smile and this trows you off. "I am not some petty noble with money to spend and nothing to give. I am an artist of sort. I weave magic in the ways of clothes." The answer surprise you. He didn't seem like a tailor-type to you. "In fact, if you did not accept to do this for me, I would have asked you for another service."

You raise your eyebrow suspiciously. You know what kind of service mens tends to want you to do.

"Oh what is that ?" you say with a wary tone.

"You are as exotic as the clothes I weave... I've never seen a model so worthy. I would have asked you to wear my clothes." You are a little stunned by his answer. Not what you expected. "Well, I cannot force you of course. But, my offer is there, if you wish it." he continues. You take a bit to weight his words. This job turned out to be two job offer. You are curious about the magical cloth.
