You haven't done this since you were an apprentice to that scruffy old man you stole your powers from in the first place. You remember the sensations you had so many years ago and are getting excited with the thought of what you are about to do.
You strip off everything you are wearing including your magical jewelery till you are completely naked. You haven't felt this vulnerable in a very long time, but you feel very free at the moment and think to yourself that this is what the commoners feel like all the time. But back to the matters at hand, you get the box from under your bed that you put your special magical jewelery you got on a trip to Athkatla a few years back and put on the hair clip, it allows the wearer to be instantly teleported to a set location, namely your home. You doubt you'll need it but it's always good to be cautious. You also remove the ring from the box and a bracelet and put the box away, as you place the bracelet on your wrist you concentrate and you appear to be now wearing the clothing of a common tavern wench complete with cleavage revealing boddice and short skirt. You decide against going barefoot and sit down to put on your magical sandals, as you are bending over to tie the lacings your head hits the table edge and you fail to notice that the hair clip has become dislodged and may fall off your head at any moment. When you tie the sandals in place you speak the command word of binding and now for the next eight hours as long as you are wearing the sandals if anyone shouts the words 'stop thief' you will be magically compelled to stand in place for thirty seconds.
And now for the final item, you place the ring on your finger and you immediately feel a chill as your magical abilities are suppressed. The ring is used to secure prisoners for transport that have magical abilities. It prevents the prisoner from casting spells and cannot be removed for eight hours unless a matching rod is waved over the hand. That rod is stored currently in the box under your bed.
The plan is that you will travel naked around town wearing only an illusion to appear clothed. Which means because the illusion has no physical form that anyone who touches you will probably notice your lack of clothing. The sandals were enchanted to stop apprentices from stealing, hence the command word 'stop thief' however what you don't realize is that they have a few other command words that work as well. If you get in trouble you just speak the command word for your hair clip and are teleported back here and can remove the ring fairly quickly. You are only using the ring because of the rush it gives you knowing all your powerful magics are just out of reach. Before you change your mind you rush out the door failing to notice that your magical hair clip has fallen out and is laying in the middle of the floor, you do realize that you had no place to put a coin purse and you may have to steal some food or you could flirt with a local merchant at a tavern for some drinks if need be.
