Compromise and wear your new sneakers without their laces

You pull the laces out of the new shoes and toss them in the box. You stick your feet in your new shoes and stand up to leave.
You realize you can't take the box and your old shoes with you, so you simply leave them there and walk towards the door, your shoes flopping and slapping against your heels as you go. As you walk by the counter, you see the store clerk heading out of the back room. He sees you slipping by and immediately begins following you, his mouth slightly open, a tent forming in his pants again.
Once outside, you tell him you're going:
- To a wooded park near the mall
- To your apartment
- To his apartment
- You're not sure yet, but you'll know it when you see it
