"I hereby claim this house and all who reside in it as mine," you say with a strong sense of confidence.
"What?!" everyone bellows at the same time.
"Anyone who wishes to dispute my right to this property may challenge me now."
This is the orc way; you want something, you take it. The challenge has been offered, you've given them the opportunity to defend their land. If they don't, then it's yours.
"H-how can you just barge in here and say this now belongs to you!" the father finally says as he draws a small blade on you.
"Why not? Don't you do the same with the animals that lived here before you?"
"That's..." he starts, but can't bring himself to continue, as he knows you're right.
"I assume with that blade drawn you wish to defend your land. But know that if you lose, you die."
The father takes a trembled breath, his eyes filled with hate. But then he looks at his frightened family, and the knife slowly falls out of his hand. You smile, and think that maybe he isn't as stupid as you initially thought. He falls to his knees and starts crying, and his family all comes to his side, but never take their eyes off you.
"What do you want of us, orc?" the broken father says.
