True to your grandfather's word, you, your mate, and her father were released, and sent on your way back home. You haven't gotten a chance to introduce yourself to her father, as he has been asleep all day. He rests on a pillow laid cart that you pull. Your Grandfather sits next to him, which annoys you.
Emera walks next to you. She's no longer naked, which disappoints you, but she insisted to wear clothes. The atmosphere is quiet and tense. You feel awkward, like unfriendly eyes are always focused on you. It's not your Granddad, it's not Emera's father, and it's certainly not her. So what is it?
Then realization hits you. You're being followed. They're too quiet to be orcs, or any animal, so it must be elves. The king's guard no doubt. He lied to you. Not too surprising, but still you can't help but be disappointed. But the question now is, what do you do about it? You could call them out, but that would most likely be a death sentence. You could take the long way to your village, but you might tire out before they do. Or, you could lead them on a wild goose chase, but elves are excellent trackers and loosing them might be difficult.
