"If I'm going in to such a dangerous part of town, I don't really want to go alone."
Jory snorts and rolls his eyes. <You're not wimping out on us, are you?>
Braden frowns. "You'll be alone for a majority of the Great Hunt. And trust me, those targets are a lot more dangerous than some petty thief."
"I'm willing to go with you!" Mako pipes up, excitedly. "I'm actually better with a blaster than Braden thinks. And I've gotten to know this town pretty well in the past few months."
Braden shakes his head. "It's too dangerous, Mako."
"I'm not a little girl anymore!" Mako protests. "Please let me go."
Braden gives in with a long sigh and fixes his steely gaze on you. "If you let anything happen to her, anything at all, I'll withdraw my support and you'll have to find another mentor to get you into the Great Hunt, understood?"
