The elder pauses. "What? Oh, yes, your feet," they say. They look down at your feet, and then down at their robe. "I guess I'll have to take some off the bottom. I can hem it later. I'll make you some sandals at home, but for now it'll do," they say, mostly to themselves. Then they start ripping strips from the bottom of their robe. "Give me your foot," they say, casually.
