Tessa rolled her eyes. “That is SUCH a line.”
He chuckled. “It is, you’re right. The truth is that I just get tired of getting rejected, you know?”
That touched her. “I do understand. It’s rough putting your heart out there.”
David nodded. “Are you alone here?”
“Afraid so.”
“Well,” he raised an eyebrow, “if you’re available after the wedding, maybe you’ll save me a dance?”
“Sure,” she smiled in reply.
