The next morning you and your aunt are awake before your mom. You know this because you can hear her snoring in the other room. Your aunt is smiling and you know she has something else going on, which does not include sex. There is no way they are going to have sex while his mom is in the same house.
Your aunt goes to make coffee and has you go into your room. At least the room you are supposed to be in, instead of your aunt’s. She brings back a cup of coffee and turns on the monitor. You can see your mom and hear her snoring on the speakers.
“Don’t leave this room,” your aunt orders.
She leaves and closes the door behind her. You wait and watch the monitor as your aunt enters and sets a cup of coffee down. She sits so her back is to you, but you can clearly see your mom. Your aunt shakes your mom’s shoulders a little and your mom stirs.
Your aunt says, “Time to get up, sis.”
Your mom mumbles something, but you cannot make it out.
Your aunt shakes her shoulders again and your mom sits up straight and says, “My head hurts.”
“I’m not surprised. I tried to get you to stop drinking, but you insisted.” You could hear fake concern in your aunt’s voice.
“I don’t remember anything,” your mom says.
Your aunt responds by saying, “Again, not surprised. But you have to wake up. I have to tell you something before he wakes up.”
“What is it?” your mom asks.
“I don’t know how to tell you this,” your aunt says.
“Come on, sis,” your mom says. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
“Maybe I shouldn’t,” your aunt says with a voice full of concern.
