TT:passage right
From Create Your Own Story
You turn to the right. You go down a short flight of stairs, and enter another passageway. At first, you see no doors leading from it, but finally, you come up to a large wooden door. It's bolted shut from this side. You undo the bolts, and crack the door open.
The room is enormous! High windows let in the daylight, and chandeliers hang from the high ceilings. What catches your eye next is a pair of huge generators dominating the far wall. They emit a low hum, and you can feel the energy in the air. The floor is covered in workbenches, shelves, and pieces of equipment whose use you can only guess at. Two doors lead off the room.
You step in. It's the doctor's workroom. That much you're sure of. You explore further. You notice what looks like a journal. You open it to a random page and start reading.
"My experiments with anteaters have been unsuccessful. They lack the ferocity needed to dominate an ecosystem, and injecting their hypothalamus with Sodium Trichlorate only makes them feed more aggressively"
You flip backwards until something catches your eye. "They ridiculed me at the University! They laughed at my theories, but we'll see who's laughing when I release my runcible swans upon them! I'll show them all, and they'll beg me to come back! THE FOOLS DON'T KNOW WHO THEY'RE DEALING WITH!"
After that the entry becomes incomprehensible. You put the journal down and resume your search. Amid the workbenches you see something lumpy under a sheet. You pull the sheet down. It's an animal or some sort, and it's quite dead. It has characteristics of a bear and a crocodile. Wires and probes are attached all over its body. Disturbed, you put the sheet back. Near the body is a control panel. There are dials and meters, and a big red button, and a throw switch. They're just asking to be pushed, but you're not sure that would be smart. You haven't checked the rooms leading off of this one yet. Maybe you should?
