You placed back the book insie your bag. With it is a copper-plated compass and a thin journal. These are just three of the things you took with you on your way back home.

The compass is a birthday gift your uncle Grant gave you when you were just seven. Ever since, wherever you go, you carried the object with you, for you believed it to weild good luck. And so it did (or it seems); it helped you get out of a forest on your Junior field trip night, and you didn't even looked at it, and it helped you talk out a friend from leaving his home. Sure it was years ago, but it sseemed like that to you.

The small journal, on the other hand, is a list of notes you wrote during all your trips. It is filled with a lot of confusing scribbles, of your thoughts, of what you ate at the moment, and even of your dreams the previous night.

Hmm . . ., you thought. What can I do with these?
