"Good," the voice of the principal sounds from behind Cory. Where did he come from? "In that case, Cory here will only serve a week's detention rather than 2 weeks' worth."
"Bastard!" Cory growls at you.
"Or maybe he wants an extra week," the principal snaps. Cory shuts up and you head for class.
Things go relatively normally until gym, which comes right before lunch. You get momentarily distracted as you're doing your chin-ups and fall off the bar after only five. Miss Patton glares at you. "See me after class," she says sternly. "Or if you don't want to miss part of lunch period, meet me back here after school."
