The arranged party look horrified, filled with self-righteous pity for you.
"I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to pry..."
You shrug and look sympathetic. "Don't worry about it...but do you mind if I hang out with you guys today?"
They lighten up like Jesus was returning from the dead. "Sure you can!" Says David grinning "We always appreciate the company! We'll show you our favorite spots and everything!"
