After a while you figure you've probably put enough distance between you and the counts men, that they will never be able to find you, especially given the fact that the didn't seem very comfortable with trudging through the forest back there.
This was definitely not how you were planing on spending the night, that damned count really can't stand even the slightest blemish on his sterling reputation can he? Perhaps you were a bit too reckless, you're matron always did try to get you to think out the consequences of your actions before you act, but the lessons never stuck. Whenever you see something you want, you can't help but reach for it, even if it does belong to someone else...someone with a lot of money, power, and apparently a lot of anger.
You look down at your dress, it's completely ruining it. You liked this dress too. Perhaps you can find something a little more practical in the next town on your way to the ritual site. Hopefully you won't be late, your looking forward to seeing the others when you get there.
