What the heck. You only unlive once.

You amble around the corner and sure enough, you see the sign. When you enter, you see a larger sign: RING BELL TO SEE DR. ARTHUR CHESTER, DE-ZOMBIFYING SPECIALIST.

You give the bell a vigorous strike with your hand, and a clear, loud ringing sounds. About 10 seconds later, a tall man in a long white coat strides into the room.

"Dr. Arthur Chester, at your service. You must be the zombie."

You nod.

"Follow me."

You follow the doctor into a smaller room containing what looks like a surgeon's operating table. Dr. Chester gestures, and you climb on and lie down. He secures straps around your ankles and wrists.

"This drug will take about 5 minutes to have its full effect."

He produces a syringe with a blue fluid, carefully scrubs your forearm with rubbing alcohol, locates a vein and injects the drug. Part of what's in the syringe must be something that knocks you out, because you regain consciousness precisely five minutes and 24 seconds (by the large digital clock on the wall) after the needle pierces your skin.

"How do you feel?"

"Hungry. I haven't had a bacon cheeseburger in way too long."

You realize with a start that you're human again. Dr. Chester unbinds your limbs and gives you $100 in cash and a business card.

"I come from a very rich family. Go to the address on the card and ask to speak to Sue. Tell 'em Artie sent you. They'll hook you up with a place to live and a job."

3 hours later, you have a job as a night janitor, a small furnished apartment to live in, and have consumed a bacon cheeseburger, large fries and a Dr Pepper. You go to your new home, catch a few hours of sleep, and report to your new job.

Your co-worker is a gorgeous Latina named Rosa. She explains that she's glad to have the assistance, as it's really too much work for one person. You'll be working with her every night.

Rosa smiles a lot and seems to be flirting with you as the two of you sweep floors.
