You are Steve, an average looking guy.
You're visiting a upper class resort in Florida with your friends from the university you currently attend. While most of your friends are hooking up with random co-eds, you've had no luck with the ladies and have found yourself sitting alone at the pool. As another beautiful blonde in a bikini ignores you and walks past you take it as a sign and walk back up to your hotel room. You enter your hotel room to see the cleaning lady had already made up the beds as you see the little mints sitting atop the pillows. As you approach your bed you see a small envelope under the mint.
You open the small envelope to find a silver ring and a business card that says "The Adjustment Ring". You have no idea where this came from, and upon further examination you find a note on the back of the card: "This ring makes you attractive." You think that one of your friends is playing a joke on you, but you don't recognize the handwriting. You set the card down and look at the ring finding absolutely nothing special about. It's simply a silver ring. You think about the bad luck you've had with girls and think it wouldn't hurt to be a little more attractive. So you slip the ring on your finger and you feel a slight jolt when...
Nothing happens.
You feel kind of silly, thinking this ring would make you more attractive. You laugh as you try to remove the ring, but it refuses to come off. You try a little harder to no avail, so you decide to keep the damn thing on. You feel a bit hungry so you decide to go down to the restaurant and find something to eat. You enter the hallway where you see an attractive girl to your right trying to get in her room and a younger kid sipping on a coke to your left.
