Tell Jessica good-bye and return to the school

"Be safe," you tell Jessica. "I must return to the school."

Jessica smiles. "Thank you, Brother Chris."

When you get back to the school, you see a note on your door. Report to Brother Jerome's office at once.

"What's going on, Jerome?" you say as you enter his Spartan office. You immediately notice two teenagers, a boy you recognize as Andrew Hendricks [a junior] and... a girl? A teenage girl? This is an all-boys' school. There shouldn't be any girls here.

Jerome smiles at you. "Ah, good you're here, Chris," he says. "The young lady here is Angelica Dallas, a junior at Carondelet." The all-girls' school run by the order of nuns allied with the LaSallian brothers 2 miles down, your memory tells you. "She and Andrew were caught in an empty classroom, kissing. There's no fraternization on school grounds, as you know. What do you think we should do?"

• Defer that one back to Brother Jerome
• Suggest Andrew be put in detention for a week and Angelica's punishment be decided by the Sisters at Carondelet
