The two of you gather up everything you can carry and then you carefully lift Mel off the little bunk and head for the front of the building. Out the front door, you can see nothing, but you can hear the wind howling and the rain drumming hard on the roof above your head. Cassandra takes a deep breath and holds it as she sticks the key in the door and unlocks its, and then gives you a nod.
You dash out with Cassandra in tow, rushing through the rain as it stings your face. You head directly for your car, and Cassandra steps around you to open up the back door. You quickly but carefully get Mel into the backseat as Cassandra runs around to the passenger side. "Hurry!" She yells, still barely audible over the rain. "We have to hurry!"
You shut the back door and then unlock the driver door, sliding into the car as fast as your body will move. You reach to hit the unlock button on the inside panel, and hear Cassandra scream. You glance out her window, and with the dim dome light shining out the windows, you can see two pairs of hands pulling at Cassandra, trying desperately to drag her off into the darkness.
"Help me!" She screams.
