Splash water to put out the fire

You run to get a bucket and then return to the kitchen to find the flames have spread around the washing machine. You quickly use the tabs to fill the bucket with water and splash it onto the flames but it doesn't work. The fire spreads to the curtains. It is too close to the sink, so you run to the toilet and use that sink to get more water. After a while, you eventually put the fire out but the curtains are burned.
