"OK, I'm sorry again about what I said earlier. You two take care." You give a quick wave goodbye and a smile as the couple leaves the building. You think to yourself, How can I make this more interesting?
You decide to follow Valerie and her dad to the parking lot, descending the stairs rather nimbly despite the heels you are wearing. You exit the building just as they enter Vincent's car. You hear the ignition start and the car roars to life.
You scan through Melanie's memories and recall that you left your Civic somewhere on the northeast side. You approach the driver's side, and thankfully you remembered your keys. You quickly start the car and back out just as the Vincent pulls out of the parking lot. You drive out onto the street behind them.
