You decide you can't lesson to Mrs. Mack's nasal tones any longer and make a break for the door. After letting the door fall closed, you slowly make your way towards the water fountain. You press the button and a low-pressure stream of water squirts out of the calcified faucet. You drink from the stream ignoring the heavy aftertaste of copper from pipes older than the freshman class. You finish drinking and turn around and begin to head back to class for 7 more minutes of legalized torture. You round the corner and nearly run into Caroline, a girl from the other English class during that period. As you step around her you make eye contact and flash her your 'I'm a clumsy asshole' smile and mutter an apology. She smiles back with disarming charisma and passes you to get a drink of water. Caroline is probably one of the three most popular seniors in your school. She has long brown hair, tanned skin, and an ass that could launch a thousand ships. She seems like a girl that can hang out with guys as well as she can with girls and she lives just 4 houses down from you. Unfortunately she has been dating the quarterback since junior year, not that she was ever within your reach. As you walk away you make have to make a snap decision.
