"What happened here?"
"It.. It was horrible. My mum's new husband... He... He... " she trails off for a moment, taking a deep breath to try and calm herself, "He just... went crazy. He had a gun. He started shooting and... my... my mom... It was horrible... "
You can see tears welling up in her eyes and from the looks of things, she had been crying sometime before you arrived too.
"Is... it safe? Is he gone?" she asks, her voice slightly hopeful.
