You play aggressively, taking the kid's pieces at every opportunity while not bothering too much to protect your own pieces, or your king. In ten short moves you're one move away from winning when the kid moves a knight up next to your king.
"Checkmate," he says with a beaming grin. You stare at the board, dumbstruck. How did you miss that? He'd let you move in so he could circle a few pieces around behind you and win the game. You're about to say something when a loud beep comes from behind you.
You turn and quickly locate the source of the sound as another beep goes off, the suitcase. You walk over to it and pop it open, curious as to why it is beeping.
An array of wires, electronic circuitry, blocks of a white substance, and a pair of displays in the center greet you. The display on the top shows a countdown timer, while underneith the display reads: "Proximity Detonation: Armed."
It's a bomb! And it is only 1 minute away from detonation!
Do you:
- Start grabbing and pulling out wires left and right?
- Get the hell out of there?
- Don't panic and try to defuse it despite lack of experience in bomb disposal?
