Reassure the girl that it's the better option

From Create Your Own Story

"Look," you say, trying your best to sound sympathetic. "We sleep in these wet clothes and we'll get sick. We can't afford that, okay? I'm not trying to allude to anything. I'm really not." She glances up at you, her big round eyes full of doubt and despair. It's then you remember that no matter what you've been through, she's been through some of it to. You have no inkling of who she might have lost or what she might of seen. You give her a sympathetic smile and open your arms to her, and you're actually surprised when she rushes into the hug and holds you tightly to her.

"It's going to be okay," you assure her. "It really will. We've made it this far, and when we're well rested in the morning, we'll have sunlight to try and find out what's going on, okay?" She nods slowly, and her sniffling lessens.

"Thank you," she says quietly. "For everything."

"You're welcome," you say, as she takes a step back and starts to get out of her clothes.
