Make something up.

You make up a story about a car accident, trying to play yourself off as more of a hero than a coward, and the woman doesn't say a word as she listens. Finally, when you're done with your story, she starts laughing.
"You're a bad liar, puta. A real bad liar." She raises the gun. "So, you come here to try to steal from me? Or you got friends out there waiting for me or something?"
"No, no, no!" You say. "I'm telling the truth."
"No, you ain't." She uses her thumb to pull back the hammer of the gun. "Try again."
