Highschool/ Help her up

From Create Your Own Story

You and Jane continue to stare at each other until you finally decide to help her up. She doesn't struggle, as you expected she would, instead, she whisper, "Thank you, no one has ever helped me before." You decide to walk her to the bathroom. You hear the sounds of her forcing herself to throw-up followed by quite a bit of rinsing. Through it all, you are forced to realize your position. The world runs on people like Moby, and you killed him. You feel the razor blade in your pocket, there isn't even a hint of blood on it, the though of it makes you feel sick, but you keep it down, mainly because there isn't anything for you to throw up- you never ate your lunch. Jane comes out and just stands at your side for a moment, maybe wondering the same things and realizing that the future might very well depend on the answers. "You killed him. I didn't think you really meant what you said on the bus." Exhausted, you simply reply, "I know." Jane followed with a mumble, "And I thank you." Choice breeds personality. Another piece of your mother's words whispers briefly in your ear. It had been some sort of family saying from her father, who got it from his father, blah, blah. Funny that you remember it now when most of the time you can only recall the command to not kill. The importance of choice never occurs to the loner who cuts himself off from the world and moves about each day more as an observer than a player, only wanting the world to leave him alone. Of course, that fantasy is over. You have certainly become a player now, with all the choice that entails. For her part, Jane seemed to have reached a decision and moves her hand into yours. Now, its your turn.
