Go toward the red lights

You decide to go toward the flickering light. Perhaps there's someone that way who can help you - or at least find a way out. As you round the first corner you see that the light is a torch set into the wall, a wall painted red, explaining the red light you saw earlier. But as you look closer, you see that it's blood the wall is painted with - the black waters lap against frightening designs and monsters. Where are you? The cavern seems now more like a canal, a tunnel. At each twist a torch lights the way - a torch reflecting the same blood-painted, twisted designs. You begin to doubt your decision to come this way. You smell danger.
