Go out and survey the parking lot

From Create Your Own Story

Cassandra searches the front end of the place until she finds a couple of rain parkas, still in their packaging. They're a little small, but it'll keep you sort of dry. You both put them on, unlock the door, and head out. This time, you're ready. Well, as ready as you can be. You've got the flash light turned over and ready to use as a weapon.

Strangely, other than the corpses and abandoned cars, there's no one else around as far as you can see. Cassandra taps you on the shoulder.

You head out to your vehicle, slide into the driver's seat, and buckle in. Cassandra hops in and shuts the door behind her. You start up the car and kick on the heater, just to dry out the legs of your pants as you move along. You still have half a tank of gas, and that will get you pretty far in this little economy ride.

"I have no idea where we're going," you say, still thinking about Melanie. Cassandra reaches over and rubs at the back of your neck to comfort you.

"We could pass by the hospital, see if things are still crazy. We could just drive around and see what we see. Or we could head over to my place." Cassandra says. "It's up to you. Things still look dangerous.

The hospital isn't really necessary anymore, but if anyone knows what's going on, it'd be the staff there. Driving around could give you a good gauge on how terrible things are, if they are still terrible, but it'll be the most dangerous. Cassandra's place will be warm and dry, have food and possibly water and extra stuff that might help out, but her husband might be there, and that's something you'll have to deal with.
