You walk into the boys' locker room. It's a large, long room with rows of lockers and benches and has a restroom and showers at each end. One end has the door to the gym, and the other has entrances to the pool and field. The design designates one end of the locker room primarily for the constant stream of kids going into and out of gym class, leaving the other end for the jocks and their more serious athletic pursuits.
You know the locker room is a serious source of trauma and confusion for Jared, and search his mind for any juicy details. You find that Jared is even more scared of the gym side than the jock side of the locker room, because most of the boys in gym classes are too homophobic and insecure to strip down past their boxers or shower at school; the few that do are ridiculed and regarded as homos. There's also a utility room between the girls' and boys' locker rooms that Jared knows how to sneak into where he can spy on either locker room. Jared's locker is in the far corner from his teammates' lockers.
There is one locker open on the Jock side and you can hear water running in the shower room.
