Feeling uneasy about whatever mysterious endeavors Alex might be involved in, you decide to distance yourself and prioritize replenishing your empty stomach. Departing from the lecture hall, you navigate through the bustling corridors and arrive at the dining hall, a peculiar amalgamation of people and culinary wonders. The cafeteria resembles a fantastical food market, with diverse stands catering to various tastes. Some stands seem to cater to beings beyond the realm of mere wizards or witches, the goopy options making you grimace but enticing a few passing onlookers. As you explore the surroundings, you notice the sophisticated restaurant corner reserved for the elite, it's practically empty aside from the prefects and their too-bright halos shinning over their heads, the angelic accessories meant to help guide students to them if they have any questions.
The whole thing is utterly uneventful. You were hoping there'd at least be someone cute to talk to, but nope. Everyone already has their own groups to hang out with, and while people can be pretty accepting around here, you don't try making friends in the cafeteria, it just doesn't work unless you have something interesting to talk about from the get-go. Once you've finished eating you mull over whether you should head back home, or check to see if Alex is okay …
