A girl with short, fiery-red hair catches your eye and you head towards her tent to introduce yourself.
“Hi, I’m Rachel,” she says. “My friend Michelle is inside unpacking.”
Rachel looks of average build and height, probably around 17, but her hair is definitely what catches your attention. She has it cut short and makes her look like a pixie. She is spinning a volleyball in her hands.
“I was checking if you need any help,” you ask them.
“Not right now,” she replies. “We got our tent up fast so we can practice for the volleyball match this afternoon.”
“The game means a lot to you?” you ask.
“Yep. Whenever Ellen and I play against each other, she always manages to win, including the last two years here. I need to beat her this year no matter what!” On that note, Rachel commences bumping and setting the ball to herself.
‘Scary,’ you think. The level that these girls can hold grudges against each other. But instead you wish her good luck, and turn to check around again.
