“I’ll make you a deal,” you say to her. “I won’t tell anyone about your little tryst,” you say slowly, “as long as you let me join in.”
Jim doesn’t seem to be bothered by this idea, but Emily quails on the table. Her hands clutch tighter at her blouse as she tries to cover herself. “Join in…” she asks softly.
“It’s up to you,” you say. “But if you would rather not…” You let the sentence hang in the air as you turn slightly towards the woods.
She looks towards Jim for reassurance and he shrugs back. “Um… okay,” she murmurs. “You promise you won’t tell?” she asserts.
“This will be our secret,” you tell her. “How long have you and Jim been fucking each other,” you ask conversationally.
“What?” she stutters. You stare at her and he folds under your gaze. “About four months,” she murmurs.
You smile at Jim and ask her, “Has he fucked you in the ass yet?”
“What? No!” she stammers.
