Downfall/Sit with Kirsten (dress)

Julianne takes the seat behind the cab driver; that leaves the right back seat for you and Kirsten. Kirsten enters the cab first, sliding over to the middle as far as the belt will allow. You wedge yourself in next to her, sitting thigh to thigh. You cannot close the door at first, but after a bit of wriggling and bending that leaves you turned half to the window side, you manage to pull it into the lock. Belting up properly isn't possible, though. The horizontal strap goes around both of you, but the diagonal belt would run right over your face, which is why you lead it behind your back and then over Kirsten's front. It's not the most comfortable position, but you will manage. It's only a cab ride, after all.
Kirsten puts an arm around your back. You want to protest because you think it will increase your discomfort, having to lean back against an arm. To your genuine surprise, your sister's arm supports your back in its crooked position without making it much more uncomfortable. You mentally shrug and let it pass. You grab the handle over the side window. Off the cab goes.
