Downfall/Panic and run towards her

Oh my god, your sister is in danger. Without thinking, you run towards her. "No, Will, no," she yells, but you don't notice it. You grab her around the waist and pull with all your strength, but to no avail. You might have pulled on a tree stump; Debra doesn't come free, you don't lift her even an inch. Instead, all that happens is that - now you are standing still - you start to sink in as well, quickened by the force you applied to your sister.
"Stop. Stop!" Debra shakes you and shouts at you until she finally gets through to you. "You're making it worse, Will. Stop." It's only now you notice Debra fixates your head with her hands on your cheeks, trying to get your attention. You look down. Debra has now sunk in over the knees. You are down to the knees, like Debra was before.
