It may not be the best behavior, but curiosity gets the better of you. Will has never had a girlfriend, as far as you know, and he never mentioned he'd go out on a date. All he ever did was meeting with his friends. Sometimes you wonder if he is gay, but then again, you have met his friends, and none of them strike you as interested in males. You usually don't feel like prying into your children's lives, but then again, like any parent, you feel the need to know at least the general bearings. You wouldn't mind if Will is gay; if you knew for certain, you could start to hint that he could talk with you about 'everything' if he felt the need.
It isn't hard to follow Will. He is headed for the shopping area, just like your daughters, but unlike them, he doesn't care about the shops. It takes him a quarter of an hour to overcome his inhibitions; he walks over to a brunette girl about his age and talks to her. You are too far away to overhear them, but you can tell from from their body language that she rejected his advance.
You know what you came to know. Time to leave, isn't it?
