You don't trust Debra to have the nerves; she is tense, and you fear she will blurt out with everything if you allow her to talk. The security guy continues to drone on about today's society and failure in parenting. If self-righteousness was a liquid, he'd be in danger of drowning from the outpour. You wait until he says something especially insulting to place your hand on Debra's butt. She stiffens, and you hastily interject before she can incriminate herself.
"Let me handle this," you say emphatically. In search for the bracelet, you let your hand wander over her butt. Debra seems to understand; she loosens up which makes her look less guilty right away. Debra's butt is firm, just like yours when you were her age. You have no problem to find the bracelet; it is stuck in her underwear, just below the curve, close to the crack. All you have to do is to distract the man to get rid of the evidence.
"Debra, is there a bracelet in your purse?" you ask. Debra shakes her head.
"I assume my daughter's word isn't good enough for you," you say. Of course it isn't. You tell Debra to give him her purse. Debra hands her purse to the spotter who eagerly opens it. Quick, get the bracelet. But... how do you access it?
