Do a hurried search for a secret passage

You hurriedly pat down the wall randomly, hoping a secret passage might open. Luckily, the demon takes his time looking around before settling on you as his target. You find the right spot to press before he starts heading your way. A section of the wall slides open and you run away down a dim corridor.
You don't get all that far before you notice two yellow spots floating in the air before you. A low growling alerts you to the fact that the spots are a pair of eyes... and whatever they belong to, it probably isn't friendly.
