Chapter 2.1
- You: I know that you wanted to do the right thing, although it's not really the right choice, sorry.
Grace, who looks disappointed with her previous decision and with your answer, lays a hand on her forehead and looks down.
- Grace: It was a mistake, I know. I promise that I will be more careful next time..
You lay a hand on her shoulder, to ensure her that you don't feel angry or anything of the sort towards her. Hell, the last thing that you want her to do, is hating you! While you do this, Grace looks up and looks you straight in the eyes. She wants to say something, but she can't quite place it. Instead, she asks you something totally out of the blue.
- Grace: Alas, it's a burden I have to carry. But tell me Keith, how was the doughnut I gave you?
- You: It was a lifesaver! I could fill my tummy when I wanted to sleep with it, so thanks a ton!
Now that she looks satisfied with your answer, the two of you give each other a hug, letting one another know that you're both cool. The others look with a smile on their faces at you and Grace, and they continue with their breakfast.
