Country Girl/Try to hitchhike

You stick up your thumb as the truck approaches, and it pulls over.
"Where are you heading?" the truck driver asks.
"As far away as possible," you answer as you walk up to the truck.
"Alright. Hop in," he says, "I have to drive a couple hundred miles and can get you at least that far."
You climb in the truck. The truck driver asks you a couple of questions about yourself, but when you don't tell him much, he gives up and starts telling you about his life. You pretend to listen, but you don't really care about what he has to say. You drive right past the town close to your home, the only town you've ever been to. Your conversation with the truck driver eventually dies down because you don't say much. Then, after a few hours, you approach the biggest town you've ever seen.
"Well," the truck driver says, "this is where I'm stopping. Where do you want to get out? The bus depot? The airport?"
You'd love to say the airport and travel to some exotic country, but you don't think you have enough money to buy an airplane ticket, so you ask him to drop you off at the bus depot. You buy a bus ticket to the biggest city you can think of and get on the bus.
