You wrap Emily in your arms and press up against her body. "Don't worry about it, love," you murmur. "We'll see what happens. But I want you to be mine... always."
Emily pivots her body so she's facing you. "Really?"
You kiss her. When you break your lips from hers, you say, "Really."
Emily playfully pushes you into the bed and pins you with her arms. She's stronger than you thought. "I'll hold you to that."

As it turns out, Emily is pregnant. She's a wonderful partner and you definitely wouldn't mind starting a family with her when you're ready, but there is the little matter of wanting to finish up college first. "I love you, sweetie," you tell her. "But would you rather wait until after we both graduate?"
Emily nestles against you. "Whatever you decide, dear. We could abort this one and be careful until we both have our degrees, or you could drop out and be Mr. Mom while I finish up and support us. I don't care as long as I get to be with you."
