"Who's there?" you call.
The voice cries again, a little more boldly this time. "Up 'ere! 'Elp! 'Elp! I can't get down!" It is the voice of a feeble, wiry old woman. Stepping back a little, you can see her clearly: as thin as sticks, and dressed in dirt rags. Apparently she is afraid to jump down to the ground, which considering her age is not surprising.
